YouTube puts black bars around your 16:9 video if the video's aspect ratio does not match the player's aspect ratio. This can happen if the video is not exactly 16:9, or if it has been uploaded with letterboxing (black bars added to the top and bottom of the video to make it 16:9). YouTube does this to ensure that the video is displayed correctly and does not appear stretched or distorted. If you want to avoid black bars, make sure your video is in the correct aspect ratio before uploading it to YouTube. **

Black bars may appear on a 16:9 television when the content being displayed is not in the 16:9 aspect ratio. For example, if the content is in a 4:3 aspect ratio, there will be black bars on the sides of the screen to maintain the original aspect ratio of the content. Similarly, if the content is in a wider aspect ratio, such as 2.35:1, there will be black bars at the top and bottom of the screen. This is done to ensure that the content is displayed in its original aspect ratio without distortion or cropping. **

To watch YouTube videos and Netflix without black bars on a 16:10 monitor in 16:9 format, you can try adjusting the display settings on your monitor or in the video player. Look for options like "Fit to Screen" or "Stretch" in the video player settings to fill the screen without black bars. Additionally, you can try changing the aspect ratio settings on your monitor to see if that helps eliminate the black bars. If these options are not available, you may need to accept the black bars as a compromise due to the difference in aspect ratios between your monitor and the video content. **
